Gray vanity and a pale veined tile tub surround

Pale veined tile around the bathtub contrasts with a dark tiled vanity wall and warm metal fittings. Earlier photographs show the original brown vanity and beige floor, followed by demolition and tub-tile installation.

The original room and exposed framing

The earlier views show a brown vanity, beige square floor tiles and a curtained bathtub. A demolition photograph records the exposed wall framing before the new surfaces. The progress view then shows the pale tub-surround tile and recessed niche before the later fittings, making the change in materials easy to follow.

Rectangular tile and a divided tub niche

Large pale rectangular wall tiles bring cloudy veining around the bathtub. The niche has a horizontal divider near its top, with warm metal edging defining its perimeter. The later photograph shows a square showerhead and handheld fitting beside the niche. When planning a tub surround, coordinate niche height, shelf divisions and tile courses so these details work together.

Dark accent tile at the gray vanity

Narrow dark rectangular tiles run vertically behind the gray vanity, giving the pale tub surround a contrasting neighbor. A light mottled counter, arched mirror and warm metal lights complete the later vanity view. Rectangular floor tile links the vanity and tub areas. Compare the accent-tile scale, counter pattern and metal finishes together when choosing a similar palette.
