Starting installation labor prices. Tile, flooring products and other purchased materials are separate unless an allowance is expressly included in your written estimate. Final pricing depends on measurements, selections, site conditions and agreed scope. Additional work and costs are discussed on site and documented before proceeding.

Start with the flooring product: solid and engineered wood choices have their own installation requirements. Bring the product information and show us what is underneath the existing floor so the estimate can address your actual room.
- The selected solid or engineered hardwood product and its installation requirements
- Existing subfloor, old-floor removal and any preparation or repair work
- Board direction, room connections, thresholds and adjoining floor heights
- Baseboards, door clearance, delivery arrangements and room access

Is the starting rate a complete hardwood project price?
No. It is a starting installation-labor rate. Hardwood, other purchased materials, removal, preparation, floor-height changes and custom or complex layouts need to be included or excluded explicitly in your written estimate.
What about preparation before hardwood installation?
Discuss the subfloor condition, the manufacturer’s moisture and acclimation requirements, and any preparation identified during assessment. The required work depends on the selected product and the existing room; it cannot be established from floor area alone.
Does this include refinishing an existing wood floor?
The published rate is for flooring installation. Sanding, staining and refinishing are a different scope and are not included in this starting price. Tell us whether you are replacing a floor or keeping an existing one when discussing your project.
