White tub surround with a geometric niche
White rectangular wall tile surrounds the tub, while a geometric mosaic adds contrast inside the recessed niche and across the floor. The original post describes keeping the tub while updating the tile around it.

The project in pictures
A simple wall field with a patterned niche
Horizontal white rectangular tiles form the main surround. Inside the recessed niche, angled mosaic pieces combine into a cube-like pattern. The niche brings that contrasting geometry into the quieter wall field.
The floor and tub-end ledge
The geometric pattern continues across the floor beside the tub, while a narrow tiled ledge finishes the tub end. The installation photographs retain exposed fixture connections and unfinished trim.
